Anyone who knows a little about the world of bicycles will certainly have come across the name hebie – synonymous with innovative and reliable bicycle components “Made in Germany.” Our history goes back a long way to 1868. Today, we are considered a modern manufacturer of bicycle accessories, but it all started with Heinrich Hemmelskamp and his H. Hemmelskamp GmbH & Co. KG – a company that initially produced crown cork. With a focus on international customers, the company was renamed Hebie very early on, a neologism combining Hemmelskamp and Bielefeld.
